Did L.J. Shen do it again?
Did she write one of the steamiest and spiciest MM romance books?
Yes.
She did.
“Fallen Rook” is her first MM romance book in the “Society of Villains” series, and it’s book number three. It’s the story of Enzo and Agent Rothwell, whom we already met in the two previous books.
Enzo is like a sweet baby boy, sunshine, and a little kitten. I love the way he treats everyone, even when he turns evil toward his enemies. He knows who he can be a kitten with and who he needs to be a tiger with.
This is written so well! He is a perfect book boyfriend.
But not only him! Tom Rothwell—a grumpy FBI agent who has a lot of secrets and keeps his past hidden deep inside—is also a really great hero. Sometimes I was deeply sad while reading about Tom, and sometimes I was smiling at my Kindle like an idiot.
In the end, I love both of them. They fit together perfectly, and I cannot even imagine them not being a couple!
L.J. Shen, you wrote a perfect MM romance, and now I’m waiting for the next one!
“Fallen Rook” is a story about love, sacrifice, difficult decisions, and the truth, which can be like cleansing water. I was completely invested in this story from the beginning, and I was really sad when it ended.
But what can you do? Everything needs to end.
I wish these boys a lifetime of happiness.
