„We The Pretty Stars” by Eden O'Neill
BLURB
He's a supernova... wild and untamed but I refuse to let his light die. If need be, I'll be that light for him.
We'll end this together.
The body count is rising in Maywood Heights and Royal seems determined to add to that number. He wants to take out those who hurt Paige. Though I want justice too, I'm not sure how far his need for revenge will take him. These flames might consume him in the end. If we're not careful, they may destroy all of us, Royal's boys and myself included in that number. Something dark and deeply wicked looms over the town Maywood Heights, but I'm determined to stand next to Royal, Knight, Jax, and LJ to do what needs to be done. My sister will get justice in this town. She deserves it and we'll be the ones to bring it to her...
I just hope the ultimate price in the end isn't our souls.
MY OPINION
This is the end.
Or… the beginning.
“We The Pretty Stars” is the fourth and final book in the “Court High” series by Eden O'Neill — a series so captivating that I kept picking up the next book immediately after finishing the previous one.
The conclusion was… good. But not the best. I have to be honest — for most of the story I had absolutely no suspicions about who the murderer could be. I was simply reading and enjoying the book, not trying to solve the mystery. But then one moment gave me everything I needed to know, and from that point I was sure who the killer was.
And I was right.
So it wasn’t a shocking ending, but it was a solid and satisfying one.
After finishing the book, I still feel like this story could have been longer and explored with more background plots. The books in this series are really short, so if you are determined enough, you could probably read all of them in a single day.
Eden O’Neill created a bully, enemies-to-lovers high school romance full of secrets.
This series is like a drug — you keep reading and you just want more and more. It probably won’t surprise anyone when I say that I have already started the “Court University” series… and I’m in. Again.
“We The Pretty Stars” is a good ending. The whole series was a fun, quick, and captivating read, and I’m really happy that I discovered “Court High”. The best part? The next series follows the friends of the main characters. So count me in.
What more can I say? Emotional rollercoaster, secret societies, and a murder mystery. Add a little spice and some love… and voilà. We have a series that deserves to be read — and later reread.
PS. The alternate covers are absolutely beautiful.
