BLURB
Dear Reader,
Just when you think it can't get any worse, the universe seems to take that as a personal challenge. The Devil's Backbone Society has their fingers everywhere. It's more than a secret society―it's a leash and a prison sentence. The elders insist it's about making connections that will help you for the rest of your life, but what they don't tell you is how long―or, in this case, short―your life might be.
The society has already cost me―cost us. Blood. Sweat. Tears.
Lives.
Now, it may take more than what I have to give. A part of me wants to be here, wants to see this through to the end. But the rest of me?
The rest of me worries that even if I watch my back, it won't be enough. How do I protect them? How do I protect these handsome, crazy, over-the-top men that I'm falling for?
How do I save them from the society and themselves? And more importantly, how do I save myself?
MY OPINION
„Watch your back” is a second installment od „Devil's Backborne” series.
After diabolical cliffhanger in the first book Tate James is drowing us to the next story with spicy moments, secrets and betrayals. The rate is rising and our heroes need to watch their back (as in title), because even friend can be an enemy.
This book is more reverse harem than the first one. We don't have here a lot hot scenes, but these, what we have are steamy and spicy AF. For real, Tate James knows how to do a nice balance in book. Here we have everything – the plot and scenes which make blush our cheeks.
About the plot, I am very happy that finally we can met some new people, whos are inside the society. Also we can discover new things about Devil's Backborne, which is nice, because last book I was curious about the society.
And that cliffhanger again! Tate James you don't have heart for your readers!
Not funny part is that I was thinking that all series are done. You can only imagine how my face looked like, when I saw „16 of September” release date for next book. Ah... this waiting will kill me.
„Watch your back” is a book which made me curious about the end of the trilogy. So, right now I have no choice – just sit and wait patiently for the „You're next”.
