MY OPINION
It been a long time when i read last L.J. Shen book. I didn't have time to read books and I still dont have it, but when I saw this blue/purple/pink cover of „Truly Madly Deeply” I felt that this is the time, when I need to read something. And what I thought I did. I ended Cal and Row story and whoa! Can't wait for next book in „Forbidden Love” series.
The story is pretty amazing. We have opportunity to meet Calla, whos came back home on her father funeral and she wants to stay with her mother to let her rest from heartbreaking lost of husband. In home town Cal feels lost and useless. She wants to met her older friend Dylan, but her old BFF is too much connected with her brother – in who Cal was in love when she was younger.
Ambrose Casablancas in his life has one real passion – food. And he did everything to have a sucess in this area. For renowed Michelin-starred chief womens are distraction which he doesn't want. And then this is one girl - his sister BF – Calla. The doe-eyed girl who is a beautiful women right now. When Cal shows up on his doorstep, looking for job, Row knew that he will do everything to have her, even when all his rules must be broken.
This story is a pretty second chance romance. First, we have the story with them when they are young, and few chapters later we meet them as adults. They relationships is little to hard at the beginning, but after, when they are working together – masterpiece. How they are talking, looking on each other, and finally opening their hearts with all the truth. Truth which is very tough and brutal.
This was a good decision to read „Truly Madly Deeply”. I am happy that I finally found a time to came back to my unicorn author and check does L.J. Shen still has this THING, which makes that her books are so special to me. And yes. She still has it and I still love it.
If you are looking for nice, light and gentle, but also angst and emotional story – you need to check Cal and Row book. I recommend their story truly, madly and deeply!
