BLURB

A PUPPET
The men in the secret society known as the Lords think they rule the world. And in a way, they do. Each has sold their soul to the devil at a young age in exchange for power and wealth. Like anything else, they have different levels of success. The more they’re willing to serve, the more power they have.

Among them are the Spade brothers, who run Carnage. It’s where the Lords who have not held up their oath go to live out the rest of their lives in shackles. Tucked away from the world as if they never existed.

I VOW. YOU VOW. WE VOW.

I once belonged to a Lord—Saint Beckham Carter. Although nothing was holy about him, I still kneeled as if he could grant me eternity in a world where only evil existed.

At the time, I willingly vowed to be his and allowed him to share me with his “brothers.” But things changed. And what I thought couldn’t get any better got exceptionally worse. So I did the only thing I could and ran from him, knowing I could never return.

Now he’s found me and dragged me back to his hell, where he will make me his pet. The world already thinks I’m dead, so no one will miss me. And I’m just another name on a long list of those who will never know freedom.

What he doesn’t know is why I ran from him in the first place. A Lord doesn’t listen to reason, so it’s not like he’d care anyway. Saint was born a Lord, and he will die as one.

If life has taught me anything, it’s that we all pay for our sins. And Saint will never let me forget that my place is at Carnage, serving him on my knees until death is granted.

MY OPINION

Lord, I volunteer to go to hell wilingly.
Just give me a permission to take all bad boys with me.

After first three books in „L.O.R.D.S” series I was thinking that Sin is my favourite. Right now, when I finished „Carnage” I am not so sure. Saint is much more higher in my personal ranking and I am also a little bit scared that Haidyn from „Madness” will be top of the top.

„Carnage” is a story which I swallowed. Yep, think what you want about that word. I just sit and swallowed more than 600 pages. I will write more! I was pretty shocked when I saw „epilogue” (yep I have turn off the numbers at down of pages on my Kindle). I wasn't ready to end this adventure with Saint and Ash. I am still not ready to end with them.

Their story is hard. So much hard.
They always wanted themselves, but they never said this loudly.
Also both of them were destroying themselves in every possible way, even when they called this „I am doing him/her a favor” or „I am trying to protect you”. They are like broken souls whos are trying to heal up together but the way of that healing is painful AF.

Their story hits me so much.
Am I weak that in one moment I was crying? Even when I knew that everything will be all right?
This book is like a chainsaw. At the beginning your heart is calm and peaceful. But in one moment you are feeling that the same heart is beaing torn apart very slowly. If you think right now that it will heal again... good joke. „Carnage” will leave a scar on your heart. Forever.

This is a dark romance. If I remind myself first books in series... nah, they aren't so dark like this one. Shantel Tessier is showing here a lot of demons which are eating our heroes form inside. Saint is a really dark hero. And I am pretty sure that some things in this book and how he is using Ash won't have applause from readers. But... I don't care. When you are taking this book, you have TW at the beginning so you are reading this on your own risk. Don't cry later on.

„Carnage” for now is a best story in „L.O.R.D.S” series. For now, because „Madness” is still waiting. When I read „Sinner” I never thought that Sin will has a rival in best hero ranking. Or at least that he will lose. If you aren't scary about bloody darkness, demons and rough love Saint and Ash story is for you.
