BLURB
“Maybe we were never meant for each other. But that night at the carnival, when you showed me who you were, I figured out who I wanted to be.”
The most important thing I’d ever read was scribbled on the door of a portable restroom, engraved into plastic at a carnival on the outskirts of Boston.
Lust lingers, love stays.
Lust is impatient, love waits.
Lust burns, love warms.
Lust destroys, but love? Love kills.
Maybe it was always my destiny to fall in love with a monster.
When other kids stayed awake at night fearing the pointy-toothed beast hiding in their closet, I longed to see mine.
I wanted to feed it, domesticate it, understand it.
Sam and I were only allowed to love each other in the dark.
Once our story unfolded, and the truth came to light, I was the one to cut the cord.
My name is Aisling Fitzpatrick, and I have a confession to make.
Sam Brennan is not the only monster in this story.
MY OPINION
We are all the monsters.
The story of Sam Brennan and Aisling Fitzpatrick was the second story, which I was waiting since perfect Cillian and The Villain.
The Monster is the third installment in Boston Belles series and this book is a little bit different than the others in this series.
First of all I must write that Sam Brennan is still single. I don't take him! Vicious, Vaughn and Cillian are still my lovers so you can take Brennan. Second I am very suprised about Aisiling ( I love her name so much!). Why? She is not the heroine like the others in this series. She has her dark side and secret and in the end this was something new to me in L.J. Shen books.
I am in love with this plot which isn't obviously. Of course we are in this book from the first page until the last one and we also have suprise in the end. You will see.
Does Sam Brennan is a real Monster? Hm... I think that Aisling is bigger. L.J. Shen in her new book touches a subject that some readers may be shocked. It isn't a trigger if you need this information.
Between Ash and Sam we have sizzling chemistry and a lot of angst. Maybe it isn't the hate love like Vicious which I still love the most, but their feeling are strong and attractive.
„The Monster” is a next successful book written by L.J. Shen. I can't wait to meet „The Rake”, but for this we must wait. In the end I highly recommend this story. Meet Sam Brennan and Aisling Fitzpatrick and read their thorn story.
