MY OPINION
„Playing with Fire” has me, when L.J. Shen showed the first teaser of this story.
When cover and blurb appeared I knew that I will love this book.
My confident wasn't a mistake.
I love this book.
L.J. Shen has a such a big talent. She knows how to write a story which will catch many hearts and leaves the scars on them. But these scars aren't ugly. They are beautiful, because they are made with love, not with hate.
First of all, when I read the proloque I knew that this story will be very different than the others from Ms. Shen. It will be hard, but this hardness will be rewarded. West and Grace's story is phenomenal! Perfection and ideal! I am totally in love with their story and these heroes.
West is a bad guy. But, he isn't this kind of bad you which are you thinking now. He has my hearts from the first page and chapter by chapter I loved him more!
This guy is cruel, uncaring and angry. Okey, I must be honest. He is a devi. Devil in perfect angel skin.
While reading I had times when I want to slap him in his face, but other times I want to hug him so much, because I was proud of him.
Grace... this girl is a real fighter. She has a tough baggage of experience, but she keep going and she does her best. You know guys, that I have a big problems with female characters in books. But L.J. Shen knows how to write heroine, which possessed my heart. So... Grace, will you be my friend?
West and Grace's story have everything to be a perfect reading in this autumn. „Playing with Fire” has a fantastic plot with precious heroes. L.J. Shen has my heart, brain and body again (yep, I know how it sound). It isn't something new that I put this book on my bookshelf name „favourite”. „Playing with Fire” is different book than others, wrote by Ms. Shen. Different and perfect. This means that L.J. Shen can write criminal and I will love it too. West and Grace's story is one of my 2020 top reads and you must meet these heroes too!
