Blurb for Nothing More to Take (Give & Take Duet, #1)

Can love survive amidst lies, schemes and subterfuge?

Zac, a man accustomed to getting what he wants, seeks retribution on behalf of the only father figure he's known, even though no one asked him to.

"I still can't believe how an ethereal being like Diane can be a plotting bitch. Why the old man held her in such a high regard, is beyond me. She is ungrateful and someone needs to teach her a thing or two. And I have the only right to do so."

Evidence and reports condemn the woman he purposefully set to 'teach a lesson', but the truth has a way of creeping out of the most unlikely corners.

"She looked at me in the eyes and told me, but I didn't believe her... She lay there with trust in her eyes and let me do that to her and more."

One mistake after the other and one fight too many bring them closer to the end.
All it takes is three little words to take down his whole house of cards.

Now Zac has to trust the only woman who had the tenacity to see beyond his scowls and cold behaviour and not because she was innocent all along.

“Her name is Diane. The woman who has made my heart beating."

Blurb for All the More to Give (Give & Take Duet, #2)

Zac was too proud to realise that he lost a piece of himself when he walked out of Diane. But now he’s back and wants nothing more than to have her in his arms again.
Revenge plots be damned.

Diane has to do whatever she can to protect herself, but her heart won’t let her walk away from Zac. For her, he’s worth one more chance… until she discovers just how deep his betrayal goes.

Can they overcome the overwhelming obstacles that stand in their way or is this a couple destined to live apart?

Only time will tell.
Time that was borrowed from the very beginning.

Nothing More to Take (Give & Take Duet, #1)

I am going straight to hell! This is the fate I've condemned myself into, after tonight. I pace the entire length of my office nowhere near making any sense of the voices screaming in my head.

She wasn't lying. She was a virgin. She looked at me in the eyes and told me, but I didn't believe her. I never prepared her properly before I impaled her with my cock. I hurt her, but she didn't stop me—she lay there with trust in her eyes and let me do that to her and more.

Someone better start giving me some fucking answers and soon.

I pick my phone again and call my PI, who still doesn't answer. I am livid. Considering how much I pay him, he should be doing backflips the moment my name appears on his phone. He didn't just get it wrong, but fucking provided me with a detailed list of names. None of these fuckers has touched my Siren.

Morning is an aeon away and I simply won't wait. I send a quick text to Mike and go upstairs again.

She is sleeping peacefully in my bed, where she belongs. Her hair is spread across my pillows and the sheet barely covers the essentials. A goddess is occupying my bed.

If the weight on my chest is guilt, then I am sinking down fast.

Diane moves and extends her hand towards the side where I'm currently sitting. She seeks me out in her sleep. I bend down and kiss her full lips and that calms her down.

Is it possible I have been wrong all along? I shake my head. What if she doesn't sleep around? That changes nothing. Essentially, she managed to financially eviscerate Stevie. I have seen her wardrobe and I am not mistaken. Her parents are well-to-do but not rich. She managed to wrap Stevie around her finger so expertly that the old man had to practically live a frugal life in order to fund her fancy. She was never worthy of him.

I have to go back to square one.

My phone vibrates in my pocket. I look down and read that Mike is in my gym, waiting for me. I put on a pair of sweatpants but don't bother with a shower. I want to keep her scent with me as long as possible.

I take a last look at her sleeping form. She has her back to me, and I am tempted to kiss her all over. I inch closer to the bed to cover her up and stop dead in my tracks.

All the More to Give (Give & Take Duet, #2)

I don't pay much attention as these two women stop the call because I feel I've been punched in the chest. The silence in the car is deafening. My apprehension mixed with anger and sadness threaten to overwhelm me.

"You're moving here, then," I ask softly and pray to be wrong.

"I don't know yet." I don't think she's lying but—what is worse—avoiding the answer. "I just need a place of my own."

"You have a place. We have our own home in Nafplio. If you don't like it, we can go somewhere else. I own many properties; just take your pick and you don't have to spend a cent."

She clutches the steering wheel in both of her hands and starts to breathe hard. That means I've pissed her off.

"You don't get it, do you? We didn't have a small tiff and we are trading our time before getting back together. We broke up. You shattered all the trust I had in you. Honestly, I don't know if I can forgive you, or let you in once again."

I'm fucking sorry, I want to shout at her. How can I fix my fuckups? She can't believe that we never had good moments. Now it's my turn to breathe through it. It's difficult to say how long I sit perfectly still watching the white lines on the road as they pass under the Ferrari and trying to calm myself. Finally, I turn to her.

"I know you don't want to hear it, but I love you. That's the only truth and it terrifies me to think of my life without you. There isn't any other option for me.”
