BLURB

Everyone knows that if you play with fire you'll end up getting burned…

What happens when you attend a first responder's bachelor auction with your best friends? Well, if your name is Madison Kelly like me, your friends end up bidding on a date for you with your high school crush.

That's right. Even back when I was 'Fatty Maddie' to all my classmates, I had eyes for the quarterback of our football team. Not like I was the only one.

Mauro Bianco may fight fires for a living, but he still sets my heart ablaze. One look at the rugged, muscular man he's turned into and I want to slide down his pole.

One date. That's all I'm committed to. A few hours and I can tuck him back into that tattered old shoebox in my closet.

As always, the universe has other plans. I never would've predicted that in a matter of days he'd turn from my dream guy into my business partner — and that's when things got interesting.

MY OPINION

I read this book, because the model on the cover is really pretty and I like firefighters #sorrynotsorry.
The blurb says everything about the plot inside, but I still wanted to read 'Flirting with Fire'.

Madison and Mauro know each other when they were in high school. On one last party, when Mauro was drunk and Madison was sober, they had an opportunity to talk and this conversation ended with shy kiss. Unfortunatelly Mauro didn't remember anything from this evening and in the end their paths have diverged.

A few years later they met again on the bachelor auction. Lauren, Madison's best friend has conquered the auction where the final award was an dinner with Mauro Bianco – her first love.
They went on date, but it was a total flop, but Mauro wanted to meet Maddie again.
What did she say, when he ask her for a second chance?

The blurb of 'Flirting with Fire' says everything of this story. The plot is very predictable. When I started read this book, I knew what will be in the middle and in the end of Maddison and Mauro story.
But.
Despite its predictability 'Flirting with Fire' is a nice to read book.
I had a big pleasure, when I've been learning about the fate of heroes.

This story is fun. I had a big smile, when I was reading about Mauro brothers. These three are devils in angel skins. Really.

But 'Flirting with Fire' has a wreid thread. The wife of his best friend and her feelings to Mauro. This storyline was a little awkward in all history. When I read it, I wanted to kill Cailin.
Also the ending is a cliffhanger. Don't get me wrong guys, I really like cliffhangers, when they are with sense (a little bit). The plot of relationship between Maddie and Mauro is end, but with her friends and his brothers isn't.
So we have a standalone and we have a cliffhanger.

'Flirting with Fire' is a nice book to read, but You can't have expectations for this book. Is only a love story between two people. Even the Mauro job (firefighter) doesn't fix all the negative sides of this book. So when you have time to read something really normal this book is a good idea, but if you need something better written and with emotions take another story.
