BLURB
Arizona
Wakefield was a beat without a melody. Living a half-breathing life
in a half-finished neighborhood with parents who always wore
half-hearted smiles, the high school senior only had one thing that
let her color outside her family’s perfectly drawn lines—her
drums.
Jesse
Barringer was a song without a chorus. The son of a washed-up rock
star who’s also one hell of a deadbeat dad, he was given two things
from his father—musical genius and a genetic link to the bipolar
disorder that drives him mad.
One
night in a garage at the end of a cul-de-sac in the middle of a
bankrupt California neighborhood, Jesse’s melody found Arizona’s
rhythm. An angry boy with storm-colored eyes found a blonde angel in
Doc Martens with missing lines in her own story. Where her rhythm
stopped, his words took over, and together, they wrote one hell of a
story.
MY
OPINION
I really like Ginger Scott.
Her
books are mature, different and so challenging.
When I started
reading Drummer Girl, I knew that this book won't be easy.
But I
wasn't prepared for so many problems to so young people.
Drummer
Girl is a mature YA romance with music background. Jesse is a vocal
and lead guitar in his garage band. He want to be famous, like his
father, which he hates. One day, he moves into the hous across the
street from Arizona's home. Their first met is akward, but Jesse
invites Arizona and her best friend Sam to rehease his band.
When
the girls listen to music in Jesse's garage, Arizona quickly know
that their drummer is weak.
This day she want to be in Jesse's
band and play on drumms for him.
Music is the first step to love
between these two young people.
Arizona
had a past she couldn't remember and Jesse had a past he wanted to
forget.
Together they can heal each other.
Drummer Girl
for me is the best book which Ginger Scott written!
And the fact
that I love all drummers on this world has nothing to my opinion.
This book is more than book. Drummer Girl is a story with real
problems, which both, Jesse and Arizona must fight.
This book is
about love the music, which could save them both.
Ginger Scott
wrote this story with her heart and love.
I saw it while I was
reading this book!
I ended this book yeasterday and I still
thinking about this story. Drummer Girl will be with me a long time,
because this story is real. Really real. You must read this.
